CONSUMERS FOR REAL CHOICE INITIATIVES FOR WV(DRAFT)

The Govenor of WV will set the goal of making WV comply fully with the landmark and historic U.S. Supreme Court Olmsteadruling, securing the civil rights of people with disailities. To do so, the Governor will sign an Executive Order elevating the Olmstead Coordinator to a cabinet level position. The Govenor will encsure this critical function of state government has a full seat at the tavle to coordinate the disparate services currently available many agencies to pursue policies that delicver the most integrated stetting to consumers. The Olmesesd Coordinatior will bve charded with working with the Executive bracnh fo the federal government to ensure that West Virginia complies with the OlmsteadDecision.

The goal will be to laucn wide-ranging efforts in WV to work with the federal efforts to ensure that WV is accessible for people with disabilities.
